The Kurdistan Region authorities have suspected that a traveller from Britain is carrying the new COVID strain entered the region. This event caused the authorities to impose new restrictions on travel.

Mr. Nassim Sadiq said that the infections in the region are few now, but people were anxious when heard a person coming from Britain was carrying the highly transmissible virus.

He added that the authorities, in anticipation of preventing the arrival and spread of this type of virus, have issued orders banning travel from and to the countries that have announced they have infected with the new generation of the virus.

He said that among these countries, Australia was in the list.

People in Australia must stay at least 1.5 metres away from others. Check your state’s restrictions on gathering limits.
