"Our Language is an Element of Our Existence" is the theme of a lecture to be held on 25 June, organised by the Assyrian Centre and presented by Adel Dano and Emil Shiba. The lecture will focus on two important issues: strengthening and promoting the Assyrian language among younger generations, and exploring ways for Assyrian writers to better distribute and promote their work within the community. Speaking to SBS Assyrian, Nimrod Slewa from the Athra Centre emphasised the vital role of language in preserving Assyrian identity, culture and heritage, highlighting the responsibility of the community to ensure its transmission to future generations.
