We have contacted other schools in our community for the purpose of using remote learning and continuing teaching students their language, who stayed at home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, said Mrs. Alice George, director of the Assyrian Diqlat School.
The director confirmed that she is currently working with Assyrian language Project Officer SICLE - Sydney University Athra Mirza on a project to develop and provide resources for remote learning. She added that we started to implement this system since the second of May.
She said that we have great flexibility in dealing with students who can choose the way they want so we can send study materials printed on paper to their home, or send the materials by e-mail or use the Zoom program according to the ability of each one.
She emphasized that there are responses from the students and their families and called on the families to assist their children as much as possible.
