For the second year Assyrian Aid Society Australia is preparing for the Mesopotamian night concert which will be held at Ryan Brown theater in Bankstown on 15 March 2020
Shushan Tower is the adviser and coordinator of this event along with members of the AAS in Australia. She told SBS that this year, there will be local and international performers. Preparation has started six months ago and tickets are already on sale. Profits from the event will go to Assyrian Aid Sociert projects in Iraq.
The concert follows the same model of Mesopotamian night in USA. The first part will be Classical performers like Tenor Andrea Mikhaelov from Russia and countertenor Robert Adam from Sydney. local performers like Urhay Warda, Wilson Eshay, Giwergis Nikola and Helen Issac plus a special presentation by the talented Niramsin Yakou who will add a special atmosphere to the night. Ms Tower urges the community to reserve their seats ahead as the venue has a limited space and there is a big demand on this event.
