Narutu: A tribute to Mr Shora Mikhalian

For more than 5 decades, Maestro Shora Mikhalian dedicated much of his time teaching music to Assyrians, and coordinating the church choir of the Assyrian Church of the East. ACERO and the youth group of the Assyrian Church paid a tribute to Mikhalian at ‘Narutu’, where a collection of Shora Mikhalian’s works were sung by the Assyrian Church of the East choir. They were accompanied by Sydney Youth Orchestra, conducted by US conductor John Bailey. Special guest, and international Assyrian star Linda George also performed with the orchestra and choir. Ninos Kako attended the performance and to spoke to those involved.
