Our Assyrian language is our national identity

The President of the Oriental Cultural Center ( Beth Mardootha d Mathenha) in Dohuk, Father Shlimon isho, said it is absolutely necessary to establish a fund to support students who want to acquire higher degrees in language. He added language is the element that unites us and gives us national identity because we have lost other elements such as the homeland and power. He said that he will focus on language as a national identity in his lecture to be hosted by the Assyrian Australian Association on Sunday February 16, 2020 at the hall of the late Mar Dinkha IV at the St Hurmizd Assyrian primary school in Sydney.
