Promises betrayed: The hidden reality of an overseas brides

Written by Odosho Moshe from Sweeden, this stage play explores the difficult and often hidden reality of deception involving overseas brides. The story follows a young Assyrian man from Australia who travels overseas to marry a young woman, promising her a happy life, security and a bright future in a new country. However, once she arrives, she discovers that the reality is very different from the life he had promised her. The play will be on Liverpool Museum on 6 September.
