Many Assyrian families overseas have received their visa to settle in Australia but they are still unable to do so due to COVID-19 travel restrictions and Australia's border closure. Here are some answers to concerning questions those visa holder have.


Manager of Assyrian resource centre Carmen Lazar spoke to SBS Assyrian about a Q&A factsheet the centre received from Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade that answers some questions related to concern of refugees in Turkey and Jordan who have their visa granted to come to Australia but can't, because of travelling restrictions to Australia.

In this interview, Mrs Lazar answers questions that are most relevant to the inquiries the visa holders have in regards to their travel to Australia and their concern if their visa will expire if they don't make it in time.
