During the years, the number of students of the Saint Zaia Assyrian language School increased, and due to the circumstances of the spread of the Covid - 19, the school made a decision in mid-March to stop education and keep students from infection.

The school's principal, Mrs. Ramziyah Shaba, said that the administration worked to provide a proven curriculum in language teaching through activities and entertainment and to provide students with a historical and heritage culture.

In view of the current circumstances, the school is preparing to start distance learning by communicating with the responsible authorities and other Assyrian Language schools. The teachers have been trained in using online method teaching. The school prepares the curriculum to communicate with students electronically or deliver paper notebooks to work on at home.

It is worth noting that a thankful Tigris school had provided us with references, which are books for teaching the language for free.
