The Archbishop of St. Thomas the Apostle Chaldean diocese in Australia and New Zealand Bishop Amel Nona said that that human life is more important than anything else, so our message for the everyone is to stay home as much as possible.

His Excellency asserted that the church is part of society, so we are committed to closing all churches, because there is what is more important, and that is preserving human life.
He added that it is not easy to accept this matter and stay home,  leaving our works, prayers and rituals, but because of the importance of people's life, so each of us must accept that.
The more we abide by the government's instructions, the more we contribute to shortening the duration of this epidemic.
He added that in our Christian faith there is no difference between old and young, as the life of each one is important.

He added :” we offer our thanks to God,  At this stage, due to digital platforms, people can follow the prayers and liturgy that church is streaming live, and our elderly can spend their time following church’s rituals”.

His Excellency confirmed that there are good things at this time, as His Holiness Pope Francis said that this crisis revealed to us we can not only establish life on us, but also on the lives of others. And this is true Christianity, this point is very important, because the church is a group, and if the group is not well, then my life is not either .

Therefore, adherence to the instructions is very important, as we do not think of ourselves that we may be in good health, rather, we should think about others in order not to get infected.
When we have a good and happy life , we can also make the life of others good and happy. This is the meaning of the Church and society in Christianity.
This year, and in these circumstances, we learned to pray at home, so aside from preoccupation with material preparations yearly, we are busy praying with the members of our family. It is a good opportunity to get closer to each other.
