The Assyrian Democratic Party (GABBA) celebrated its 43rd anniversary. The party is still working to achieve the interests and aspirations of the Assyrians in northeastern Syria, who were affected by the bad conditions and were expelled from their lands. The party works in cooperation with Ashour foundation for relief and development, to provide humanitarian aid to families and children living in poverty and destitution.

Mr. Ninos Isho, political bureau President of the party( GABBA) said that due to the current conditions in the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, the celebration was limited to our branch in Europe.
He added that the party aimed to establish an autonomous region for the Assyrians, similar to the people who live with us. However, the chaos and the spread of crimes and thefts, which we were afraid of, actually happened and prevented the fulfilment of our plans.
Mr. Ninos stressed that the party seeks to reach what our people aspire to, but the bad conditions and the establishment of self-management for the region did not make us feel that we are real partners, so we did not participate in the administration. In any case, it is a temporary situation, and what we are working on is establishing our rights in the country's next constitution.
On the humanitarian side, he confirmed that the party is working with Ashour foundation for relief and development to help the people of our nation in the homeland who live in poverty and destitution. The party have drawn up a plan for this year to provide monthly aid and distribute milk to children.
