The Chaldean Church is to cancel the public celebration of Christmas and New Year out of respect for the martyrs and the wounded in anti-government protests. Mr. Nassem Sadiq reported there will be no Christmas trees decorations in churches and arenas and no parties nor any official greeting of congratulations at the headquarters of the Chaldean Patriarchate.
