Our correspondent from Duhok, Naseem Sadiq prints a grim picture on the increased cases of the DELTA variant of COVID-19 in the KRG and difficulties the people face with the pandemic and the worsening economic situation in the region. So far 7 Assyrian people have died because of the latest DELTA variant
Mr Sadiq interviewed Dr Amir Oraha, a specialist in infectious disease in the region and talked about the seriousness of the new strain of DELTA that is spreading among people of all ages. Dr Oraha is urging the people in the region to get vaccinated as soon as they can to stop the spread and save lives.
