Mr Hermiz Shaheen, Deputy Secretary General of the Assyrian Universal Alliance has said that the Alliance has worked hard to push for the political bodies of Australia to acknowledge our struggle for an Assyrian nation. Likewise, the parties and institutions of Iraq should work to have the constitution of Iraq recognise the persecutions set on the Assyrian people.
