Our correspondent from Iraq, Naseem Sadiq, filed this report about an interview with member of the central committee of Assyrian Democratic Movement (ADM) in Dohuk-Iraq, Mr Yousip Simelee, about the appointment of one of the ADM members, Mr Shimoon Shleemon to the post of Deputy Governor of Duhok
In this interview, Naseem raises few questions regarding the selection of Mr Shimoon Shleemon among two other candidates. Also he asks if ADM is trying to soothe relations with KRG by selecting Mr Shleemon for the candidacy because he is known for his less aggressive attitude.
Mr Semilee responded by saying, the procedures for selection is by different legal departments in the KRG. He also said that the selection criteria and decisions belong to the Kurdish authorities.
Mr Simelee says the Kurdish government has asked ADM to be involved in the political process. Although the government can not appoint a ministerial post for them, it is willing to give the post of Deputy Governor of the province to an Assyrian.

Naseem Sadiq says that we will wait and see what Mr Shimoon can achieve in his post and SBS Assyrian will be interviewing him in the very near future.
