Vice President of the Syriac Writers Union Mr. Aked Murad said the union is working to deliver the goals of culture and emphasis on language which is the basis of culture. Further to this the Union has good relations with educational and university facilities that hold this common interest. We have worked hard with other parties in establishing the Syriac language department in Salahaddin University-Erbil . We also participate in conferences and are working to have an important role in the second Syriac Studies Conference at Cairo University next November.
