Peter Elkhoury is a young Assyrian who was born in Australia from migrant parents. Currently he is employed by The Royal Australian Air Force. Peter is a Leading Aircraftman in the maintenance and engineering of transport aircraft like the  C-130J Hercules. He says what made him join the air force is because of his father who always reminded him that this country gave so much for the migrants and we have to give back with love and sacrifice if needed.

Initially he joined the air force to be a jet fighter but he knows this is a long journey, dedications, experience and patience is what he needs to fulfill his dream. His advice to the youth is " if you like to join the defence force then do it because there are so many privileges and future opportunities:.
