A satirical comedy-drama about a Bulgarian immigrant actress in her late 30s struggling to achieve a balance between following her lifelong dedication to acting and being a good mother and role model to her observant ten-year-old son.
Accidentally, she faces a challenge to impart good values to her child placed in a typical Hollywood atmosphere brimming with ethically questionable stereotypes, as she has to take him with her to another fruitless audition due to inability to find a sitter, fearing a violation, if left unattended.
The short film Audition (AuДition) took part in the independent film festival in Sydney (22 Oct – 1 Nov 2018) where Maria Bobeva won the Best Female Lead.
