Three in ten graduates struggle to get full-time employment after they leave university

The Australian government is urging school leavers to think carefully about their university choices after new statistics showed which degrees got people jobs the fastest.

Government data shows undergraduates with medicine-related degrees have a better chance of finding full-time employment more quickly.

The first major round of university offers for the year has been made to year 12 students around the country on January 12.

The Universities Admissions Centre sent out 20,000 offers to hopeful university applicants.

As the offers were released, so were new statistics on the degrees which successfully led students into the workforce the quickest in 2017.
