On May 24, Bulgarians worldwide celebrated the national day of Bulgarian education and culture and of the Slavic alphabet.
The Bulgarians in Melbourne also celebrated the Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture and the Slavic alphabet with a church service in the Bulgarian church, named after the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius, and with a big celebration in the church hall.
A rich program of songs, poems and merry scenes was presented in the packed hall by the children from the Bulgarian school in Melbourne with teachers Vanya Dyulgerova and Katerina Kerkenekova.
