Bulgaria's preparations to take over the presidency of the EU early next year go well, says Antonio Tajani, President of the European Parliament.
He was on a short visit to Sofia, during which some interesting statements were made by the PM Boyko Borisov.
Tajani is convinced that Bulgaria has a key role to play in supporting the future European perspective of its close neighbours in the Western Balkans.
Tajani is not the first European politician to appreciate Bulgaria's readiness to take over the EU presidency, but there is a lot of criticism about the pace and outcome of the preparations.
