The SBS Radio Services Review began nearly 12 months ago with a public consultation into the proposed Selection Criteria to be used, in conjunction with the Census 2016 data, to select which languages would be serviced by SBS Radio from the end of 2017.
As Australia evolves, SBS is committed to reviewing its services after each Census to reflect the demographical changes and to ensure it is supporting new communities who need news and information in language as they navigate life in a new country.
Following the SBS Radio Services Review, the Bulgarian language will continue.
Currently, we have one radio program per week on SBS Radio 3. This program will be moved to the AM radio schedule and digital radio 1with a new time of 18:00 on Friday.
The program change will happen on 20 November.
