A genius scientist without any formal education

The great French scientist Andre Marie Ampère had no formal education.

None!

He went to school only as a teacher and did not even take exams as a private student. But he invented and developed a branch of modern science called "electrodynamics".

Ampère made contributions not only in physics and electromagnetism, but also in chemistry, mathematics, mechanics, wrote botanical and philosophical works.
