When asked where she came from, Li Yue, a Chinese student at the University of Sydney, says she was told she came from her mother's belly button.
Even at 21 years old, Li has been led to believe the same way as those born decades ago in China.
It may sound absurd in Western society, but, for Chinese international students, a lack of sex education is a reality -- and it could hurt them badly in a place like Australia.
Li Yue says she never received any real sex education in China, either at school or at home.
