A delegation of the General Prosecutors Office of Russia led by Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika visited Bulgaria.
The delegation met with Bulgarian Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov.
The Bulgarian prosecutor general said they signed an agreement on the joint training of prosecutors from the two countries, with the first one in the field of countering terrorism.
The delegation also met with Bulgarian Vice President Iliana Iotova, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, Minister of Justice Tsetska Tsacheva, as well as with the Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte.
The news sparked controversy in Bulgaria as Chayka is serving a third mandate as attorney general of Russia and is famously loyal to the Kremlin.
