A $143,000 (aud) reward is being offered across Europe for a Tunisian man who is now wanted in connection with a deadly truck crash at a Berlin Christmas market earlier this week. (mon)

An initial suspect was released due to insufficient evidence.

Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere says the search continues for the person who was driving the lorry.

He says:"I cannot either confirm or deny the information in the media. As to his status at the moment I can only give you information when there is some clarity of the facts. It is important to be sure. And that's more important than to be fast."

Security is being reinforced in the German capital after self proclaimed Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.
