Bishop rebuffed calls for Australia to challenge Beijing's South China Sea island claims

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has rebuffed calls by a senior US congressman for Australia to conduct navigation patrols against Chinese territorial claims in the South China Sea as she thought it would probably further strain an already-tense relationship between Australia and China.
