Here's how commentators called the first goal for the Socceroos, from Tim Cahill in the 24th minute.

"...here's Mooy, now Kruse, oh too easy......regular as clockwork, make that 21 goals in 27 World Cup qualifiers, and he's one step closer to the magical half-century for his country, and that one couldn't have been any easier...just after a little scare at the other end....Australian nerves are settled."

The win was sealed by Chris Ikonomidis supplying a cross for fellow substitute Massimo Luongo to finish off.

The Socceroos are now another step closer to a fourth consecutive World Cup appearance in Russia.
