More than 20 people are being treated for burns and smoke inhalation in a local hospital.

According to a Chinese media, those who were trapped in fire claimed that they couldn't find a way out.

The hotel has not passed fire safety inspections for four times. The cause of the fire is under investigation and the hotel owner has been detained by local law enforcement.

China's CCTV quoted the Ministry of Emergency Management saying that they would inspect the fire safety issues in hotels, hospitals, schools, and shopping malls nationwide.
