Dr Leng Tan remembers her first impression of Australia's architecture. She says it was like seeing a story book, with the cottages and the gardens, mostly small houses.

Coming from Singapore where she could get any kind of Asian food, arriving in Australia in the sixties was a big challenge. ImageThe only place where I could find Chinese food was in China Town, and there were only two restaurants. Image
