North Korea sends letter to Australia for the first time

North Korea has written to Australia urging it to ditch its alliance with the United States and Donald Trump for the sake of global peace and avoiding war.

澳大利亚外长毕晓普昨日向费法斯媒体证实,已经收到朝鲜最高人民议会外交事务委员会在 9 月 28 日的信件。该信件经由朝鲜驻雅加达大使馆送出,相信信件同时向另外多国的国会发出。

根据澳洲广播公司发布的信件副本,朝鲜狠批美国总统特朗普的核战威胁,称这种外交做法“是美国人的思想高度,认为牺牲整个世界对美国有好处”。

“假如特朗普以为他会令朝鲜放弃核计划,通过核战威胁令朝鲜屈服,那实在是“计算错误”,并体现了愚昧无知。”

信中又提到,朝鲜深信所有“热爱独立、和平及公义”的国家,会对特朗普政府“罗莽而且会导致全球陷入危险核灾难”的行为,保持高度警觉。

毕晓普表示,这次是澳洲第一次收到朝鲜的信件,形容情况罕见。

朝鲜一般透过官方媒体中央通讯社向外发布消息及评论。

朝鲜对上一次透过该通讯社发表声明是在上周末,警告澳洲在朝鲜核问题上过度发表言论会造成灾难性的后果。

当时,正联同国防部长佩恩访问韩国的毕晓普表示,朝鲜的威胁,只会令澳洲更坚强地寻求以和平的方式化解或缓和朝鲜半岛的紧张局势。
