The mother of a Chinese student whose body was found floating in a blowhole on the NSW Central Coast says losing someone you deeply love is the "saddest thing in life".

Mengmei Leng, 25, was found floating face down in a blowhole at Snapper Point on the NSW Central Coast in April.

Mei Zhang has told reporters in Sydney on Thursday that she still can't accept her daughter is gone and that nothing can bring back the happy times they spent together.
