NSW Government announces extra $500m in drought assistance for struggling farmers

The NSW government has committed an extra $500 million towards a drought relief package, taking the total package to $1 billion, including $190 million in transport subsidies.

The coalition has been under pressure to do more for battling farmers with 99 percent of the state officially in drought.
