Chinese visitors to Australia will now be able to apply for visas online.
The service will be available 24/7 and allows people to track the status of their application, the federal government announced on Monday.
More than 840,000 applications from Chinese nationals were made in 2015-16 - a number that's expected to pass one million by next year.
