Prime Minister Scott Morrison delivered his message to the local Chinese community and "wish everyone a prosperous and auspicious Chinese New Year."
He wishes the Australian Chinese community a wonderful Chinese New Year, and peace, health, and happiness for the months ahead.
While praises the contribution of immigration in Australia, he also acknowledges the efforts made by the Chinese community for bridging the friendship between Australia and China.
The Prime Minister said all Australians should cherish our diverse and harmonious society, and stand together in affirmation of the hard-won freedoms and quotes Sir Henry Parkes as "'all the fruits of the culture of the world' that give our nation strength."
