A teenager has been arrested over a fatal stabbing at a Church of Scientology branch in Sydney.

Emergency services were called to the religious centre on Greville Street in Chatswood after 12.30pm, following reports two men had been stabbed in the driveway, one in the neck.

The injured men were taken to Royal North Shore Hospital. One of the men, aged 24, later died from his injuries.

A 16-year-old boy arrested at the scene continues to assist with inquiries at Chatswood Police Station.

Police say the teen was being escorted off the premises by the men following a domestic dispute a day earlier.

"For some reason, something has happened, and he has removed a knife and caused the injuries to, that resulted in this tragedy," said Detective Chief Inspector Simon Jones.

A 24-year-old, believed to be a Taiwanese male, was stabbed in the neck and later died in hospital, said Detective Chief Inspector Jones.
