The free concerts in early December will also feature elves, kids craft workshops, performances by Brown Sugar, Gang of Brothers and Caravana Sun, Guide Dog puppies, a visit from Santa and a glittering fireworks display.
Lord Mayor Clover Moore said the village concerts were a great opportunity for families and friends to get together and enjoy a Christmas picnic and night of carols.
“Our village Christmas celebrations bring the community together to enjoy a great line-up of live entertainment from local performers, kids’ workshops, and a special visit from Santa,” the Lord Mayor said.
“I encourage everyone to come along, spend time with friends and family, and share in the Christmas spirit of peace and goodwill.”
A sausage sizzle, ice cream and coffee will be available at the concerts. Santa stockings jam-packed with goodies will be on offer for $5, with proceeds going to the City’s Christmas charity partner Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.
There will also be an opportunity to meet Gulliver, the world’s largest guide dog, and play with some Guide Dog puppies.
