A video has emerged purporting to show a Brisbane employee being forced to pay back half their wage to an employer.
Opposition leader Bill Shorten called on Mr Turnbull in question time to explain if the investment fits within ministerial standards of integrity.
"As a result of this cash back scam, staff are paid $11 dollars an hour below the minimum wage, given the Prime Minister's own ministerial standards requires ministers to act with the highest standards of integrity, how can the PM possibly justify his on going holdings in managed funds which invest in 7-11."
However Mr Turnbull says his managed funds are managed by an external advisor at arms length.
"I don't choose those stocks, I don't choose those stocks the funds invest in. I am completely transparent and they're there to be seen, the allocation of the funds are a matter for my advisor."
