Malaysia rejected the request for the body.

Malaysian police have detained a woman holding Vietnam travel papers, and are looking for a "few" other foreign suspects in connection with the death in Kuala Lumpur.

South Korean Prime Minister and acting president, Hwang Kyo-Ahn says if it is proven North Korea was responsible for the murder it would indicate the cruelty behind the North Korean government.

(starts in Korean, then translated) "If we can confirm that Kim Jong Nam's murder was committed by the North Korean government, it would be a case showing forthright how cruel and inhumane the Kim Jong Un regime is." (ends in Korean)

Kim Jong Nam, who was estranged from young North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, was known to spend a significant amount of his time outside North Korea and had spoken out publicly against his family's control of the isolated state.
