Mr Abbott claims he was walking towards his hotel in Hobart last nigh, when he was approached by a man wearing a 'vote yes for same-sex marriage' badge. He said he was asked to shake hands, but was then headbutted. Mr Abbott has given a statement to Tasmania Police who are reviewing CCTV in the area where the attack is said to have taken place. Mr Abbott says he is physically shaken by the incident, but won't be changing his activities.
