Australians stay home this holiday

More Australians are choosing to holiday at home than in previous years. Spending by domestic tourists has hit an all-time high, with the latest figures showing an increase in Australian travellers in every state and territory. Meanwhile, a new tourism deal has been done between Australia, China and six of China's biggest airlines, aiming to boost visitor numbers with dual promotional activities and increased flights, but some tourist operators say Australia needs to focus on improving infrastructure and services.
