A brand new Chinese dragon will be heading back to Bendigo from Hong Kong, after the recent Ceremony of Awakening at the presence of Bendigo City Mayor in Hong Kong on the 28th January, 2019.

The new Big Golden Dragon is 1.7 meters in height and width, and 120 meters long. It is the longest dragon in the world.

Hong Kong’s renowned craftsman Master Hui and his team has won the contract for building the papercraft golden dragon project among international competitors mid last year.

They took two and a half months to complete the project and the new Dai Gum Loong was recently awoken and ready to head back to Bendigo in 2 weeks time.
