Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull will meet with premiers and chief ministers today when he chairs the Council of Australian Governments meeting. Mr Turnbull will propose offering up to 5 billion dollars for public hospitals as an interim deal while a new mechanism is found for long-term funding. Meanwhile, the Australian Medical Association (AMA) says it wants more details about how the so-called "Health Care Homes" will be funded, ahead of a scheduled trial of the program starting next year.
