A review into a program started a decade ago to address Indigenous disadvantage has found it's been effectively abandoned. The Close the Gap policy began in 2008 under the Rudd government and a review has found it's failed to achieve its objectives. The Close the Gap Steering Committee says a renewed commitment to ending inequality is needed.
