The federal government is pushing for new legislation targeting encrypted messaging to be passed quickly after this week's arrests over an alleged terror plot in Melbourne. But a number of advocacy groups have raised concerns about the potential risks involved in allowing law enforcement authorities access to people's encrypted information.
