Premier Will Hodgman secured a second term of majority government despite a swing towards Labor.Tasmanian Labour went into the election with just seven seats after a drubbing in 2014, but could emerge with 10 or 11. Poker machines shot to prominence in the campaign after Labor promised to pull them from pubs and clubs by 2023, while the Liberals pledged to keep them in place for at least 20 years beyond that. Labor and the Greens have both accused Mr Hodgman of buying his way back into office by accepting money from the gambling industry.
