United States national-security adviser John Bolton is in Russia for two days of high-level talks that suddenly have taken on new meaning. They come just after US president Donald Trump has announced his intention to withdraw from a nuclear-weapons treaty with Russia, drawing harsh criticism from Russia as well as others. An Australian physician with the Nobel Peace Prize-winning International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons has expressed deep concern at the move.
