Current Affairs: Vanuatu’s Prime Minister is expected to ask Australia to help fund a multi-million-dollar internet cable project

Two weeks ago, the Solomon Islands signed a controversial $137 million submarine internet cable deal with Australia. But the rollout of the project is likely to be delayed after the Solomon Islands’ Prime Minister revealed he was unaware of landowner issues. The deal has angered neighbouring Vanuatu, which now wants Australia to pay for its cable. Winmas Yu has the details.
