Daphne Lowe Kelley is a New Zealand born Chinese, whose father arrived in Australia in 1921 and had to pay poll tax (a tax of ten pounds applied only to Chinese people on arrival by boat in the country). She has chosen to go to Robe, South Australia, to farewell the participants in the re-enactment of the walk by the Chinese from Robe to the renowned gold fields city of Ballarat. Daphne explains to Aaron the importance to the wider community of learning about the history of Chinese in Australia.
