Embattled Labor senator Sam Dastyari has announced his resignation from parliament amid intense scrutiny over his interactions with a Chinese businessman and political donor. Opposition Leader Bill Shorten had sacked Senator Dastyari from his parliamentary leadership roles last week over his involvement with the donor. Mr Dastyari's resignation comes as China accuses the Australian media of "paranoid" and "racist" reporting on China amid growing concerns over Chinese interference. Aaron reports.
